1959  
John Lucas, Class of 1960. 13:52 (2.4-miles): Brooklyn-Queens Champion. During the 1959-60 Indoor Track season, John ran a school record 4:26.8 mile to establish himself as the premier NYC miler.
Tom Myles
1967  
Thomas Myles, Class of 1968. 13:30.0: CHSAA ‘B' Division Intersectional (City) Champion. Tom's VCP-2.5mi time established a ‘B' Division Meet Record.
Franceschini
1982  
Eugene Franceschini, Class of 1983. 12:48.7: Brooklyn-Queens Champion, VCP-2.5mi. Eugene also finished 3rd in the 1982 CHSAA Intersectional Meet with a time of 12:51.
Frank Odeh
1985  
Frank Odeh, Class of 1986. 12:55.4: CHSAA ‘A' Division Intersectional (City) Champion, VCP-2.5mi. Frank also won the 1985 Xavier Invitational, the Cathedral Invitational, and the Ridgewood, NJ, Invitational.
Antoine
2001  
Antoine Harris, Class of 2002. 13:45: Brooklyn-Queens Champion, VCP-2.5mi. Antoine finished 2nd in this race as a Junior, in 2000 (13:54). Antoine finished 10th (13:47) in the 2001 CHSAA Intersectional Race.
 
1960-61 Team

Team Results

1959  First year of cross country competition at Holy Cross. The Knights won 19 medals, and were known in the press as "upstarts." Holy Cross scored 169 points for third place at the St. John's University Invitational Meet. Runners: 7. John Lucas (13:59), 10. Marty Ferko (14:02), Charles Walsh... Coach: Brother Walter Foley, CSC.

1959  Holy Cross scored 124 points for third place in the CHSAA Brooklyn-Queens Championship (2.4-mile course). Runners: 1. John Lucas (13:52), Charles Walsh (14:23), 12. Marty Ferko (14:26)... Holy Cross defeated both Port Washington and St. Mary's in dual meets. Coach: Brother Walter Foley, CSC.

1960  Holy Cross scored 190 points to win the Cross Country Eastern States Championship ‘A' Division Race at Van Cortlandt Park. It was the school's first major championship in any sport. Coach: Brother Walter Foley, CSC. Runners: 7. Marty Ferko (13:34), 36. John Douglas, 37. Rich Fennelly, 42. Rich Duggan, and 68. Anthony ‘Jerry' Frain (a soph).

1960  Holy Cross scored 106 points to win the CHSAA ‘A' Division Intersectional (City) Championship Race at Van Cortlandt Park. Coach: Brother Walter Foley, CSC. Runners: 2. Marty Ferko (13:13), 11. Richard Fennelly (13:46), 18. John Douglas (13:54), Rich Duggan, Anthony ‘Jerry' Frain, Ted.

1960  A 1961 Holy Cross yearbook quote: "...the Holy Cross Cross-Country team has been quietly accumulating trophies, plaques and medals. Thanks to the combined efforts of Marty Ferko, Rich Fennelly, John Douglas, and Rich Duggan. The Knights placed second in the two opening meets of the season, the N.Y.U. Invitational and the St. John's Invitational, with Marty Ferko and Rich Fennelly collecting the silverware. However, it was obvious that the Knights were saving themselves for the Fordham Invitational Eastern States Championships where they earned the praise of "Sports Illustrated" as the top Cross Country team on the eastern coast for their first place victory. The Knights climaxed the season with another victory over St. Francis in the C.H.S.A.A."

1966  Holy Cross scored 67 points to take second place at the Queens ‘A' Division Championship at Cunningham Park. Runners: 4. Thomas Myles (13:09), 7. Mike Dunckley (13:25), 8. Tim Myles (13:37), 22. Charles Aiello (14:35)... Coach: Bro. Robert Reilly, CSC.

1967  Holy Cross scored 75 points to win the Cross Country ‘B' Division CHSAA Intersectional (City) Champs at Van Cortlandt Park. Runners: 1. Thomas Myles (13:30 - established a meet record), 9. Charles Aiello (14:03), 14. Matt Cola (14:08)...Coach: Bro. James Branigan, CSC.

1967  Holy Cross scored 64 points to take third place in the Queens CHSAA ‘A' Division Championship at Cunningham Park. Runners: 2. Thomas Myles (12:47), 13. Mike Dunckley (13:19), 14. Tim Myles (13:20), 16. Charles Aiello (13:22), 19. Matt Cola (13:29), 20. John Nichols (13:30), 27. Greg MacArthur (14:01). Coach: Bro. James Branigan, CSC.

1971  Holy Cross Frosh Cross Country Team scored 53 points to capture the second-place trophy in the Queens CHSAA Frosh Champs at Cunningham Park. Runners: 2. Frank Barker (6:57), 3. Jim Kenney (6:58), 11. Ken Drucker (7:08), 16. Robert Vespe (7:15), 21. Phil Panarelli (7:22), 27. Marco Jurinich (7:26) and 29. John Pi (7:31). Coach: Bro. Donald Moose, CSC.

1972  Holy Cross Frosh Cross Country Team placed second in the CHSAA Frosh ‘B' Intersectionals. Coach: Brother Donald Moose, CSC.

1985  Cathedral Invitational: 1st Place Team; Private Schools Championships: 2nd place; City Championships: 7th place (34 schools); State Championships: New York Representative; winners of 55 medals. Runner - Frank Odeh'86: City Invitational Champion; Cathedral Invitational Champion; Northern New Jersey-Ridgewood Invitational Champion. Coach: Brother James Branigan, CSC.
